The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Darnell Gripper can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I was one of Darnell's teachers in the Hudson Link pre-college program. He was a person of rare composure, determination, and intelligence, and it was a pleasure having him in the class. I am deeply saddened by his passing and offer heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends.

Condolence: Darnell was my student in Hudson Link's Pre-College Program at Sing Sing. I found him to be hard-working and very forthright about his desire to educate himself as a way of making amends to his family and the community for his past misdeeds. All of his teachers liked and admired him. Please accept my condolences for his untimely death.
